Dr. Rick Brewer
President, Louisiana College
Unanimously elected in April 2015 as the ninth president of Louisiana College, Dr. Rick Brewer has leveraged his 31 years of administrative experience in Christian higher education to lead the College to add Master and Bachelor degrees, strengthen donor and alumni support, and increase sports programs from 13 to 18. Dr. Brewer holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policies from the University of South Carolina, a Master’s in Business Administration and a Bachelor’s of Science in History from Charleston Southern University. He has completed post-doctoral studies at Harvard, Duke and Baylor universities. A consultant for leading strategic change, Dr. Brewer is also an educator, conductor, coach, Christ-follower, and an ordained Baptist minister with more than 40 years of continuous service to the local church. An accomplished musician, Dr. Brewer has recorded a CD called “Psalms, Hymns & Spiritual Songs,” which often provides the content for his concerts in local churches and other venues. Dr. Brewer and Cathy have two sons, Jason and Jonathan -- both successful professionals -- and three grandchildren.

Pastor, FBC Rayville
Born in Tupelo, Mississippi, Dr. Wren attended Union University in Jackson, Tennessee, earning a BS in Psychology and a minor in History. Dr. Wren earned the M.Div. and D.Min. degrees from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA. Dr. Wren previously served as pastor of Green Valley Baptist Church, Pontotoc, Mississippi; Bissell Baptist Church, Tupelo, Mississippi; and First Baptist Church, Butler, Georgia.

Justin Langford
Dr. Justin Langford is Assistant Professor of New Testament and Greek at Louisiana College. He earned a BA in Sociology from LC and his M.Div., Th.M., and Ph.D. from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Langford desires for students to encounter and experience the grace of God in Jesus Christ. He is active at LC outside the classroom as he regularly participates in intramural sports, attends college functions, plays disc golf with students and enjoys coffee from Hidden Grounds.

Pastor, Istrouma Baptist Church, Baton Rouge
Rev. Ginn provides oversight and leadership for all Istrouma campuses. He has been on staff since 2011. He and his wife Nell have served the Lord in a variety of roles across the years including international missionary, church planter, and seminary professor.

Laurie Short is a speaker, author, and associate pastor of Ocean Hills Covenant Church in Santa Barbara, California. She speaks at conferences, colleges, churches and denominational events around the country, and has spoken to over 500,000 people in the last 25 years. Laurie has served on staff at four churches.

Dr. Connor attended Louisiana College, where God led him toward a life committed to local church ministry first as a youth pastor for 15 years. He later attended seminary. Dr. Connor says, “I love my church, and I can’t believe that I get to spend my life teaching and leading people to know Jesus Christ and to surrender their lives to him.”

Pastor, Broadmoor Baptist Church, Shreveport, La.
Dr. Chuck Pourciau serves as Senior Pastor of Broadmoor Baptist Church. Dr. Pourciau also serves as a trustee on the International Mission Board for the Southern Baptist Convention. Born in Baton Rouge, he attended Comite Baptist Church, where at age 9 he trusted his life to Jesus as Savior and Lord. After serving churches for several years in Mississippi, he began serving at Broadmoor Baptist on April 1, 1999.

Sheri Duffy
Sheri Duffy is the chair of the Human Behavior Division, an Assistant Professor of Social Work and as the Social Work Program Director. Ms. Duffy also holds the Erroll Dawson Jr., Distinguished Professorship in Social Work. She joined the faculty of LC in 2006, and is a licensed Clinical Social Worker. In addition to her work in the social work program, Ms. Duffy previously served as Chair of the Human Behavior Division for two years and chaired the college’s QEP Planning Committee. Ms. Duffy co-wrote LC’s QEP document (2011) as well as the social work program’s reaffirmation self-study (2012). She attends Kingsville Baptist Church, where she is actively involved.

Rev. Michael Wood
Pastor, FBC West Monroe
Michael Wood has served as First West’s lead pastor since June 2014. Rev. Wood came to First West from Prestonwood Baptist Church in Plano, Texas, in 2009 to serve as First First West’s student pastor. After serving five years in that role, Michael became pastor of the church. Michael wants to see people changed by the Gospel and help them live out their Christ-centered purpose. He enjoys playing sports of all kinds, hunting, fishing, and pulling for the Texas Rangers. Michael and his wife Abby have three sons.

Dr. Jerry Pipes
Dr. Jerry Pipes is the President of Jerry Pipes Productions. He has traveled around the world preaching to millions of people in local churches and area wide Celebrations. Dr. Pipes is one of a handful of speakers recommended by the Billy Graham Center at Wheaton College. He served as part of the former Bush Administration’s President’s War on Drugs in the early 90’s and has been speaking to groups of students and parents around the world for more than 30 years. Dr. Pipes is the author of several books related to the issue of personal growth and the family. Dr. Pipes completed his BS at Texas A & M University, his MA at Southwestern, and his DMin at Luther Rice. Jerry and his wife Debra live in Atlanta, Georgia.

Dr. Luter is Pastor of Franklin Avenue Baptist Church in New Orleans, Louisiana. His commitment to his family, his passion for church growth, and his love for God’s Word and God’s people led him to make history when he was unanimously elected as president of the Southern Baptist Convention, the largest Protestant denomination in America, in June 2012. He travels across the country preaching at state conventions, associations, colleges, revivals and churches. Born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, he is married to his “Prime Rib” Elizabeth, who is the most influential person in his life.

Dr. Cathy Eschete
Dr. Cathy Eschete has more than 15 years of experience working in the field of education. Following the completion of her Bachelor’s degree from Louisiana College in Elementary and Special Education, Dr. Eschete served as a resource and inclusion middle school teacher. She received a Master’s degree from California State University Stanislaus in Special Education and most recently received her PhD in Curriculum and Instruction with a focus on Special Education from Louisiana State University. Dr. Eschete is currently an Assistant Professor and Director of Field Experience in the School of Education at Louisiana College. She and her husband, Dylan Eschete, have three daughters, Isabella, Presley Kate, and Kennedy. Dr. Eschete enjoys LSU football, spending time with family and friends, shopping, and relaxing on a beach!

Dr. Steve Horn
Pastor, FBC Lafayette
Dr. Stephen N. (Steve) Horn is pastor of First Baptist Church, Lafayette, LA. Steve was born in Columbia, Louisiana, but grew up in Lafayette, Louisiana. He has a B.A. in History from Rhodes College in Memphis, Tennessee, as well as a M. Div. in Biblical Studies and a Ph.D. in Greek/New Testament from the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Horn served as pastor of churches in Natalbany, Livingston, and New Iberia, Louisiana. He has served in numerous denominational positions. He served as President of the Executive Board of the Louisiana Baptist Convention in 2010 and 2011. He also served on the 2009 Committee on Committees of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Order on Business Committee of the Southern Baptist Convention from 2013-15. He currently serves as President of the Louisiana Baptist Convention. Steve is seen and heard six days a week in South Louisiana on Life @ First, the television broadcast ministry of FBC Lafayette.

D.A. Horton serves as Pastor of Reach Fellowship a church plant in North Long Beach, CA & as Chief Evangelist for the Urban Youth Workers Institute(UYWI). Prior to his current roles he served as an urban church planter/pastor in Kansas City, MO, a National Coordinator of Urban Student Ministries at the North American Mission Board (NAMB) and the Executive Director at ReachLife Ministries, the non-profit ministry of Reach Records. He earned his B.S. in Biblical Studies from Calvary Bible College, his Masters Degree in Christian Studies from Calvary Theological Seminary and is currently working on his Ph.D. in Applied Theology with a North American Missions emphasis at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. He has authored three books; G.O.S.P.E.L., DNA: Foundations of the Faith (published through Moody Publishers) and Bound to Be Free: Escaping Performance to be Captured by Grace, (published through NavPress). He and his wife of 15 years Elicia just co-authored a book on marriage Enter the Ring. D.A. and Elicia have two daughters, Izabelle and Lola and one son, D.A. Jr. (aka Duce).

Rev. Kirk Jones
Pastor, Fellowship Baptist Church
Kirk Jones is the Lead Pastor of Fellowship Church in Prairieville. He and his wife Wendy moved to Prairieville to start Fellowship in 2001. During these 14 years Fellowship Church has grown from a vision and dream into a vibrant church with two campuses. Kirk and Wendy have three children – Daniel, Melanie, and Kara. He graduated from Louisiana College in Pineville, LA with a degree in Social Studies Secondary Education in 1997. Wendy and Kirk met at LC and were married in January 1998 while he was a student at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Kirk and Wendy both graduated in May 2001 before moving to Louisiana. Kirk with a Masters of Divinity from SWBTS and Wendy with a bachelor degree in Elementary Education from UT Arlington.

Brent Crowe is a thought-provoking visionary and speaker who has a passion to present the life changing message of the gospel. Brent uses humor and real life situations to relate to people at the heart of their struggles. The roles of husband, father, minister, evangelist, author and leader have allowed Brent to influence people from all walks of life throughout his fifteen years in ministry. Brent is currently serving as Vice President with Student Leadership University in Orlando, Florida. He is married to Christina and has three children, Gabriel, Charis and Mercy. He holds a Doctorate in Philosophy and two masters degrees, a Masters of Divinity in Evangelism and a Masters of Arts in Ethics, from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Richard Blackaby
Richard is the President of Blackaby Ministries International and lives in Atlanta, Georgia. Richard travels internationally speaking on spiritual leadership in the home, church, and marketplace, as well as on spiritual awakening, experiencing God, and the Christian life. Richard regularly ministers to Christian CEOs as well as church and family leaders. He has been married to Lisa since August 6, 1983 and has three adult, married children: Mike, Daniel, and Carrie. Richard also has four amazing grandsons! Richard earned a B.A. in history from the University of Saskatchewan. He has an M.Div and Ph.D. in church history from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and an honorary doctorate from Dallas Baptist University. Richard has written or co-authored more than thirty books. He has also co-authored many books with his father, Henry Blackaby.

Dr. Joshua Eubanks
Bro. Josh has served as our Senior Pastor since July 2011. He holds a Masters of Divinity degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, Louisiana. As a pastor, Bro. Josh is a text-driven, expositional preacher incorporating current events and common life experience of the congregation to effectively communicate exciting sermons that work to build healthy lives of all ages. He and his wife, Melissa, grew up in the same Central Louisiana church and were married on August 21, 1999. Melissa, also a graduate of Louisiana Tech University, is a certified teacher and a stay at home mom. They are the parents to six beautiful children: Joshua Jr., Jeremiah, Grace, Julia, Ava, and Israel.

Dr. Brad Jurkovich
Dr. Brad Jurkovich is a man committed to reaching this generation with the hope of Jesus. He is the Senior Pastor of First Bossier in Bossier City, LA. This multi-generational church is reaching families throughout Northwest Louisiana, America and the world. He and his wife Stephanie have 4 children, Cassidy, Carter, Caroline and Catherine. He received his BA in biblical studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological College, his Master of Divinity from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Dr. Jason McGuffie
Jason was born in Brookhaven, Mississippi. He has been in the ministry for almost 16 years. Jason has served 2 churches in Mississippi, one as youth pastor and the other as associate pastor and youth pastor. He has been in Tallulah for 5 ½ years where he is currently serving as Senior Pastor at First Baptist. He completed a PhD from Southwest Bible College and Seminary in 2016. Since moving to Louisiana he has served on the Board at LC for 5 years. Jason also served on the Presidents 20/20 Commission, the Pledge initiative, and ULM BCM’s advisory board. He has served as camp pastor for Lifeway’s Fuge camps at different locations for 4 years. He was the VP of the Pastors Conference for the LBC in 2016, and is currently serving as President for the 2017 conference.He and his wife Jessica celebrated their 15th anniversary in June of 2016. They have two children Zach who is 10, and Zoë who is 4.

Ted Davis, International Mission Board Representative
Married to Kathie, Ted Davis holds a Bachelor of Theology from Hannibal LaGrange Baptist University, a Master of Divinity from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, a Master of Arts in Missiology from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Ministry from Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. After pastoring churches from 1978-1987, Ted was appointed a Southern Baptist career missionary as a church planter and later an instructor and VP for Administration at Kenya Baptist Theological College. He serves as IMB Personnel Consultant at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.
