Federal

The U.S. Department of Education offers an extensive amount of money to LC students pursing undergraduate degrees.

To apply for federal aid, please complete a FAFSA.  In addition to completing your FAFSA, you should review the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy or SAP for Federal Student Aid: Undergraduates/Graduates.

Separate application required annually from Financial Aid. Must be dependent, unmarried child or spouse of a Southern Baptist ordained minister or full-time minister of music, education, or youth.

Separate application required annually from Financial Aid. Must pursue Christian vocation in a Southern Baptist youth ministry, missions, seminary, etc.

Women's Missionary Union (WMU) Scholarship

Active member in a Louisiana Southern Baptist Church and related missions organization.

Must be a Louisiana resident and continue membership and missions work in a Southern Baptist church, be a full-time student, and graduate of a Louisiana high school.

Available to both men and women.

Teach Grant

3.25+ GPA or score above the 75th percentile in one of core batteries of the ACT/SAT/GRE test.

Must plan to teach in a high need field and/or area of teacher shortage per federal and state guidelines.

Must be enrolled in coursework that is necessary to begin a career in teaching.

G. Earl Guinn Scholarship

20+ ACT

Must live on campus (excluding WSA, CDA, and married student housing) and maintain a minimum 2.5 GPA.

Francis A. Schaeffer Scholarship

Students must complete the workbook Thinking Like a Christian: Understanding and Living a Biblical Worldview and must submit a

church endorsement letter from their pastor/youth pastor indicating that the student has completed the study. Students must also

participate in college-sanctioned missions service projects for the local church and community. Students must maintain a 2.5 GPA.

$2,500 max per year

Fred Lowery Missions and Ministry Scholarship

Student must be pursuing a degree under the School of Missions & Ministry. Students must maintain a 2.0 GPA.

$6,000 max per year

CLIA (Central Louisiana Incentive Award)

This award is given to a limited number of first time freshmen and transfer students. Students must commute from central

Louisiana. Students must also show financial need or above average academic GPA.

Student Loans are not based upon credit.
