The Department of Health and Physical Education

The Department of Health and Physical Education is seeking applicants tenure-track position to begin Fall 2017.


The department offers the following programs:
Adapted Health and Physical Education
Exercise Science
Health and Physical Education (with and without teacher certification).

Position

Applicants will need to demonstrate teaching competencies in both lecture and activity courses that will include the candidate’s specialty area as well as other specific needs in the department. The position also requires that the faculty member be available for advising of students and have a willingness to serve on college committees. Faculty development through scholarship activities is encouraged and some funding is available through an endowment.

Qualifications

Training and/or expertise in Health Education and Teacher Certification preferred.
Applicant needs to be qualified to teach classes in the different curricula areas.
Ph.D. preferred in Health and Physical Education or closely related Allied Health field.
Masters will be accepted with graduate school training.
