Alpha Mu Gamma
Alpha Mu Gamma is a foreign language honor society which exists to recognize
those students who have demonstrated excellence in the study of foreign
languages and to promote the study of foreign languages within the United
States.
The national organization was founded in 1931, and the Louisiana College
chapter - Zeta Gamma - was founded in 1968. Zeta Gamma continues to put
an emphasis on the importance of foreign language study.
Any student who earns an A in a three-hour foreign language course qualifies
for Associate Membership. Associate members who hold a 3.0 grade point
average and go on to earn an A in a second semester of the same language
qualifies for Full Membership.
