Wildcat Welcome Week 2010

15th – August 20th
Wildcat Welcome Week is just the beginning of a totally new college experience that will change your life! This week of wacky games, fun, and excitement is the first step in getting to know the faces and friends that will surround you for the next four years. Not only will you make memories that last a lifetime, you will also learn about campus activities and personnel that will assist you in your college journey. This week is designed around YOU, and we cannot wait until you are here!
DATES AND TIMES
August 15th
1:00 P.M. – Residence Halls open for freshmen
4:30 P.M. – Registration for all freshmen for Welcome Week in
Hixson Student Center

August 15th
– 20th
ALL DAY WELCOME WEEK ACTIVITIES.
August 19th
Pre-registered students must finalize registration for the fall semester.
August 20th
Registration for students who did not pre-register.
***While these dates are extremely important, the entire week should be set aside for Welcome Week. Every day of Welcome Week will be packed with activities and informative sessions. A detailed schedule will provided at Welcome Week registration on the 15th.
WHAT TO BRING
You will need: Clothing, toiletries, Bible, towels, linens, breakfast foods, swim
suit, athletic shoes, sense of humor, and any crazy costumes/wigs. If you are living on campus,
bring everything that you will need to move in,
because you will be staying in the dorms for the entire week. In other words, your semester
begins at Welcome Week.
Commuters will be free to return home after each day’s
events.
MEALS
Monday through Thursday,
all meals will be provided excluding breakfast. You may bring breakfast foods (pop-tarts,
cereal bars, etc.), or you may purchase breakfast in the cafeteria. All events are
covered, so the only extra money you may need will be for your own personal use.

Wildcat Welcome Week
is
MANDATORY
FOR ALL
incoming freshmen (INCLUDING
COMMUTERS).This activity and information packed week will
count as part of your College Connection 100 grade, a class you will be taking this
fall. Your college experience begins with Welcome Week, so please make arrangements
to be at all of the events. The cost for Welcome week is automatically applied to
your class fees. Therefore, no payment is required until registering for classes.
