Health Services

It is our aim at Louisiana College Health Services to promote and help maintain the physical, emotional, and spiritual well being of our students, faculty, and staff. We attempt to do this through the services we provide. These include:

• Nursing assessment and appropriate care
• Physician clinic (weekly)
• Health education
• Immunizations (available for a fee)
  o Hepatitis A and B
  o Tetanus/Diptheria
  o TB Skin Testing
  o Flu
  o Meningitis (Meningococcal)
  o Allergy Injections
  o Mantoux TB skin testing
• Referral to College Counseling Services when deemed beneficial for the student.

Location: Hixson Student Center (2nd floor)

Hours: R.N. is on duty weekdays from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. No appointment necessary. Physician is on campus weekly for clinic. Students are seen by appointment.

Health Services is open when classes are in session and closed during all College holidays. No on-call nurse or physician is available after hours. Health Services is available to all students, residents, and commuters.

Emergencies: For after-hour emergencies you must use the emergency facility at one of the three local hospitals.
