Religious Life & Spiritual Enrichment
Religious Organizations
Baptist Collegiate Ministries
The BCM is LC's largest student group on campus. It is a Christian student
organization striving to meet the needs of all LC students. Under the
leadership of the BCM Director, Tim Stewart, and a student Leadership
Team, the BCM offers a variety of opportunities for fellowship and ministry
both on and off campus.
Four areas of ministry are targeted: Worship, Leadership Development,
Missions, and Spiritual Growth. 1) Monday Night Worship (Mondays 8-9:30
pm in Granberry Large Conference Room) is a contemporary worship experience
for the entire LC
campus including a student praise band, student testimonies, student drama
and a Christian challenge led by the director and local ministers. 2)
Each student has God given gifts and abilities and are provided opportunities
to use these gifts and abilities in leadership and ministry positions.
3) The mission program is extensive. Three mission trips are planned per
year to give students an opportunity to participate at a state, national,
or international level. 4) Spiritual Growth involves students leading
students in Bible studies, prayer groups, accountability groups, and one
on one discipleship.
Supported by the Louisiana Baptist Convention and local churches, the
BCM is open to all students. The BCM is located on the main floor of the
Student Center overlooking the Granberry Conference Center.
