Residential Life
Security
Safety & Security Web Site
Security is a primary concern on the Louisiana College campus. Security
is a community responsibility requiring the cooperation and responsibility
of all members of the College family. Several members of the College community
provide leadership in monitoring the safety and security of the campus.
Secure Cards & Combination Codes
Secure cards allow residents of Cottingham Hall access to their residence
hall. These cards are in addition to the individual room keys and are
valuable security measures for the women's residence hall.
A combination lock entrance system provides entry into all other residence
halls. The code is changed periodically for resident's protection. Abuse
of the code system is considered injurious to fellow students because
it compromises the safety of the residents. Any student who uses a residence
hall code without authorization or gives out the building code to a non-resident
will be subject to disciplinary action. The same penalty applies to unauthorized
building guests and to residents who entertain unauthorized non-residents
in their building after hours.
Security Personnel
A security officer is on duty and available to persons on campus seven
days a week, 24 hours a day. If a security officer is needed, call (318)
487-SAFE (7233) or (318) 308-6505.
Emergency Procedures
Emergencies may be reported by dialing (318) 487-SMOD (7663), by notifying
