R. Rife & Carolyn Cole Saunders Division of Nursing
A Graduate's View of the Nursing Program at LC
"I took the NCLEX and found out the great news that I
passed about two weeks later. Needless to say, I was thrilled. I can honestly
say that the LC faculty prepared me well enough to take the NCLEX without
an expensive review course," says Meredith Harris, a 2002 graduate
from Marksville.
"My job at the hospital is fantastic. I absolutely love going to
work each day. While my orientation period was definitely a humbling experience
(I still have so much to learn), it is also wonderful to realize that
I actually do know more than I gave myself credit for. "
"I miss all of my professors, my classmates, LC, Pineville.... however,
I realize that at some time or another in life, we all have to venture
out and leave what's very familiar and comfortable to us in order to accomplish
great things. That time is now for me."
"However, I will never forget my experiences at LC, especially in
the nursing department. I am very proud to tell everyone where I graduated
from. The knowledge my professors instilled in me and the friendship they
shared with me will never be forgotten."
