February 1st, 2008Louisiana College Wildcats Plan “Make a Change Event”
Pineville, LA…. For the second consecutive year, Student-Athlete Advisory Committees from all 15 American Southwest Conference member institutions are set to join together in the “Make a Change in 14 Days” loose coin campaign for charity.
Arrangements are in place to collect change at campuses over the 14-day period of January 29 through February 9 - coinciding with the turn of the conference basketball season - and each member’s SAAC will use the coins collected to support a charity of their choice.
This year, the Louisiana College Student Athletic Advisory Committee has chosen to donate “Make a Change” proceeds to the Cabrini and Rapides Cancer Centers in honor of Lady Wildcats Head Coach, Janice Richard, a breast cancer survivor who has worked tirelessly to bring awareness about the many issues surrounding cancer.
