Louisiana College Christmas Event to Feature Former First Lady Bush

Former First Lady Barbara Bush will make an appearance at Louisiana College in December, participating in the College’s first annual “Follow the Star” event.
Louisiana College is proud to announce the first annual “Follow the Star†a Louisiana College Christmas, with a special guest appearance by First Lady Barbara Bush. Mrs. Bush will read the Christmas story on Saturday, December 1, 2007 as an integral part of a performance of Handel’s Messiah at 6 p.m. in Guinn Auditorium on the campus of Louisiana College.
This event is part of a three-day Christmas celebration that will kick-off on the evening of Thursday, November 29th and continue through Saturday, December 1st. During this time the campus of Louisiana College will have special Christmas lighting displays, community choirs will perform, children’s activities and much more.
Mrs. Bush is traveling to the campus of Louisiana College to help raise funds for Louisiana College student scholarships. On the afternoon of Saturday, December 1st Mrs. Bush will also participate in an afternoon “high-tea†in the Granberry Conference Center. This is also a fundraising event for student scholarships.
