International Students Program
Application Process for International Students
The following eight items are required for international student admission:
1. Completed application
2. $25 application fee (non-refundable)
3. High school or college transcripts *
(credential evaluation may be required)
4. TOEFL score (for degree-seeking admission) if English is not your
first language
5. SAT/ACT scores (for unconditional admission)
Students may be accepted to the
college if documents #1-#5 are satisfactory.
6. Financial guarantee in US$ from your bank (or sponsor's) for one
year of study (~ $16,000 per year)
7. $200 tuition deposit (required of all LC enrollees and applied to tuition)
8. Health/immunization records **
Accepted students may be issued an I-20
after consideration of documents #6-#8. (It is the student's responsibility
to present the I-20 to immigration authorities in the home country to
receive a student visa.)
* Louisiana College will not issue the I-20 until we
receive official, unopened transcripts sent from previous schools and
official test score reports sent from testing agencies. Furthermore, these
official documents must be in our office before any academic scholarship
decisions can be made.
** Upon arrival all students will be required to purchase
basic health insurance.
