Louisiana College offers numerous scholarships based on leadership and academic ability.

A prestigious scholarship program, LC's Top 30 Scholars, seeks to reward the most academically gifted students and to provide well-rounded applicants with generous support to continue their educational plans at LC.

Participation in LC's Top 30 Scholars is by invitation only. Applicants must complete their files by December 7 to be considered. Thirty applicants will be invited to campus in January to compete for the Smith Scholarship which provides full tuition, room, board, and fees for four years. All invitees automatically receive a $8,000 annual scholarship* to LC and are designated as one of LC's Top 30 Scholars.

Excellence in the Arts is an invitational scholarship competition held early each spring semester at Louisiana College. Hosted by the Division of Visual and Performing Arts, the Excellence in the Arts competition seeks to honor and reward students with exceptional gifts/talents in the fields of art and music. Each year twenty incoming freshman students are invited to compete for scholarship awards of varying amounts. (Potentially up to full tuition) In order to compete for the Excellence in the Arts award, invitees must meet all general requirements for acceptance into Louisiana College and have all necessary information on file in the Office of Admissions by the priority deadline. For full guidelines regarding admissions, please contact the Office of Admissions. For all other required materials submission, please contact the office of the Chair of the Division of Visual and Performing Arts.

Scholarships may still be given to deserving students after the priority consideration deadlines, provided that funds are still available. All students are encouraged to complete their applications as soon as possible in order to receive timely consideration during the scholarship award process.

Additionally, students may be eligible to apply for departmental scholarships. Applicants may contact the Office of Admissions for additional information about scholarship applications for a particular academic area.

*All scholarship awards are subject to LC financial aid policy. Total amount awarded cannot exceed the student's cost of attendance at LC.
