Ms. Lisa Bradford

Originally from central Louisiana, Ms. Bradford has been a RN for 18 years.  She graduated from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  In 2010 she obtained a Master of Science in Nursing Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.  She has served as a nurse educator at LC for the past four years, and is a member of Sigma Theta Tau International honor society (Nu Tau Chapter).  In November 2013 she served as a delegate for the STTI national convention. 

Awards have included Summa Cum Laude Graduate UL Master of Science in Nursing Education, UL Lafayette Academic Excellence Award, Nominated for Who’s Who by UL Lafayette Graduate Faculty, American Association of University Women Scholarship Recipient, Louisiana Board of Regents Nurse Educator Stipend recipient, Cum Laude BSN graduate, STTI nominee 1997 (Eta Chi Chapter).  Professional memberships include AWHONN and STTI.  Ms. Bradford has served on symposium planning committees and as co-counselor for the Nu Tau Chapter of STTI since 2011.  Recent certifications have included ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE (newborn).  She is currently working on a maternal child simulation research project with Dr. Renee Shamblin.

Ms. Bradford teaches Fundamentals of Nursing, Physical Assessment, Maternal-Child Nursing and Community Health Nursing (clinicals only).  Her hobbies include traveling, horseback riding, throwing on the potter’s wheel, enjoying her two Boxer dogs, medical missions work in Mexico, and assisting with the toddler nursery at her local church.
