Ms. Cynthia Menton

Mrs. Menton moved from her family home in North Texas to Central Louisiana in 2008.  In 1991 she received an Associate Degree of Nursing from Grayson College, Denison Texas.  In 1994 she obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.  An RN for 24 years, her focus has been in cardiac and neurologic intensive care arena.  After obtaining her Master of Science in Nursing in 2004 from the University of Phoenix, Mrs. Menton served as a nurse educator at Grayson College in Denison Texas for two years and has taught at for Louisiana College for four years.

She has served as a Counselor for the Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society since 2010.  In 2013 she obtained her Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE). Current professional memberships: American Nurses Association, Sigma Theta Tau International, Society for Simulation in Healthcare.  Mrs. Menton currently teaches nursing skills/simulation and serves as the Director of the Nursing Skills Lab at Louisiana College.   

Her hobbies include hiking, oil painting and horseback riding.  Since 2011, Mrs. Menton has served on several mission trips to Mexico and Honduras.  She is an active member of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Pineville, Louisiana.
