About Dr. Gao:

-Bachelor of Science in Mathematics, Shanxi Normal University, Linfen, Shanxi, China, 1987
Dr. Gao has been teaching college mathematics for more than twenty years. He has authored/coauthored more than thirty peer-reviewed research articles in mathematics ranging from operator theory, to operator semi-group theory, to infinitely dimensional linear systems and control, to free probability, to operator spaces, to von Neumann algebras. From 2004-2007, he was a Research Assistant Professor of Mathematics in University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Dr. Gao came to LC in 2007, has been promoted Professor of Mathematics.
Dr. Gao and his wife, Cuilan Li, have one child, Harry.
