Biography:
Scott Loyd is an instructor of communication arts at Louisiana College and serves as the director of forensics, coaching the award winning Louisiana College Debate Squad. Scott earned his M.A. in Communication Studies and his B.A. in Speech Communication and theater from Arkansas State University. Scott has also earned a specialist in community college education degree at ASU. Also at ASU Scott served as a member of the nationally ranked debate squad, winning both team and individual awards in both national and international tournaments, and has hosted several television programs for ASU-TV.
Scott has spoken at numerous events both nationally and internationally including: The Arkansas State Communication Association, The International Debate tournament in Madrid, Spain, and the Czech Republic, a Christian Leaders’ conference in Lagos, Nigeria, and to various civic and religious groups across America.
Scott hosts “Faith Forward” on KZLC, a program of Bible information and exploration and serves as an Associate Pastor at The Sanctuary of Praise in Pineville. Scott is married to his wife of sixteen years, Candy, and they have two children, Haden, 13, and Erin Grace, 8.
Scott enjoys reading and writing on the subjects of theology, leadership, philosophy, history, and humor.
