Jail Break WangLing Chou wins runner-up for the 12th Annual Juried Cup Show in the Downtown Gallery in Kent, Oh

PINEVILLE, LA. – Louisiana College art professor WangLing Chou, is being honored at two prestigious national juried shows. The first of the two awards is the excellence winner award, and the other is a runner-up award.

Chou’s excellence winner award is given to her piece entitled Buffalo Wings and Chicken Wings. This piece appears in the show Pour at Terra Incognito Studio/Gallery in Oak Park, Il. Her piece entitled Jail Break won her the runner-up award for the 12th Annual Juried Cup Show in the Downtown Gallery in Kent, Oh.

These are not the first awards Chou has received for her personal work. Chou’s work was even displayed in a personal show in Downtown Alexandria recently and was featured in both the Alexandria Town Talk and KALB Channel 5 News.

One of Chou’s pieces titled Angel’s Wings is currently being displayed in a Christian art show traveling across America. The show, Touch, Anointed and Heal: God with Us, will be traveling to various churches and art exhibits for the next 4-5 years. Chou’s piece was one of 31 original 2-D and 3-D works selected from across the United States and Europe.
