Louisiana College Receives Prestigious Awards

PINEVILLE, LA – Louisiana College is honored to be named one of America’s Best Christian Colleges by the Institutional Research & Evaluation, Inc. LC is one of only two schools in the state to receive this honor.

After review of the Annual National College Survey, LC is chosen as one of America’s Best Christian Colleges based on many tough standards.

Along with being an active Christian voice in the community, the entering freshman class of 2011 had to meet multiple requirements including a GPA, SAT or ACT score equal to or above the national average.

The Institutional Research & Evaluation, Inc. also has named LC one of America’s Best College Buys for the 2012-2013 school year, which makes LC’s 16th consecutive year receiving this award.

These are not the first awards LC has received in this academic year thus far.

Last month, Newsweek named LC the number 12 “Most Conservative College” in the nation.

LC was ranked No. 12 in a list of 25 colleges and universities just ahead of Brigham Young University-Idaho and just behind Harding University of Searcy, Ark. while Ave Maria University of Florida was ranked as the most conservative school in America.

US News and World Report also ranked LC the top 53 college in the Southern Region. This is the 2nd consecutive year that LC has been held in the top 100.
