Pre-Professional Curricula for Baccalaureate Degrees

Students who complete pre-professional curricula of a minimum three years’ length may earn the appropriate baccalaureate degree.
Students who plan to receive a degree under this program will be required to complete the courses listed in the catalog for their curricula. They must file an application for graduation during their last semester at Louisiana College . At the close of their first year in professional school, they will be responsible for having a statement sent to the registrar from the appropriate office at their school certifying successful completion of this year of study. Their degrees will then be awarded at the next graduation exercises.
Special Pre-Professional Curricula
The pre-professional programs listed below are designed to prepare students
for transfer to another school for completion fo the degree. Louisiana
College does not grant degrees in these programs.
Pre-Professional Therapy Curricula
Students completing the two year curricula below in Pre-Physician Assistant or Pre-Respiratory Therapy will be prepared for application to professional programs at Louisiana State University Medical Centers at New Orleans or Shreveport where they may complete a Bachelor of Science degree and certification after two additional years of study. Students in any of these four programs who intend to apply to an out of state professional school should check for specific program requirements.
