Jill Reid completed her B.A. in English at Louisiana College in 2002, her M.A. in literature at Baylor University in 2004, and is currently pursuing her M.F.A in poetry and creative writing at Seattle Pacific University. Courses she has taught at Louisiana College include Composition I, Composition II, Honors Composition, British Writers, Advanced Writing, Victorian Writers, Modern Poetry, and C.S. Lewis: Literature and Faith. She has recently helped develop four new undergraduate creative writing courses that share a common emphasis on the relationship of craft and faith to the writing process. Some of her own poems which articulate aspects of the craft/faith relationship have recently been published in the award winning journal, Ruminate as well as Relief Journal: A Quarterly Christian Expression where she was asked to blog about the intersection of faith and craft in her poetry. Jill’s article on writing and faith may be viewed here. She also has work published or forthcoming in The Fourth River, Big Muddy, Catapult Magazine, and The Penwood Review.
