Office of Institutional Research
The Office of Institutional Research is responsible for collecting, analyzing, and disseminating institutional data to the Louisiana College community to support its strategic planning, policy-making, and ongoing institution-wide evaluation processes. It is the goal of the Office Institutional Research to provide consistent, reliable, and accurate data and information in a timely manner and on a regular basis. The Office of Institutional Research continually strives to improve its data gathering, reporting, and presentation techniques to ensure that college information is as accurate, accessible and meaningful as possible. The office also respects and guards individual privacy within the guidelines of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). In keeping with this value, the office reports most information in the form of aggregate data, which cannot be traced to an individual. Occasionally, and only for official college business, it is necessary to share data specific to individuals.
Institutional Research works with data from a variety of areas including, but not limited to, students, faculty, staff, programs, and services. Some of the reports distributed by the office are provide data for popular college guides such as U.S.News and World Report’s America’s Best Colleges.
